I wondered about starting this during Part 1 but didn’t get around to it. I’m going to document some of the work that I run into as I’m out and about. The idea is purely to document pieces that catch my interest, rather than everything.

Research point: Stacked sculpture

Starting with ceramics

Strangely, when I started reading the notes on Part 2 what came to mind is a set of work that is quite common in ceramics. I’m unclear as to why this is a common sculptural form in ceramics at the moment, possibly it is simply the technical challenges of getting a tall sculpture through a kiln intact. Fig. 1 and 2 are good examples.
